An early modernist smoking table. This table was presented in a “gentleman club” interior at Oslo Handicrafts and Industry Association’s exhibition. Designed by the architect Herman Munthe-Kaas in 1929 this is one of the very first Norwegian bent tube furniture that was made. Very rare, perhaps unique. Bibliography: Norges Haandverk, 1929. Driven pewter and bronzed steel. Good condition with traces of use.
